Our New Superintendent

Good day, everyone! The Board of School Directors has concluded its search for the next superintendent, and intends to appoint Dr. Jason Bottiglieri as the district’s next superintendent this evening. Dr. Bottiglieri has been the superintendent in the Wyalusing Area School District since 2016, and expects to formally start in Northeastern on November 28, 2023. Before starting as superintendent in Wyalusing Area, Dr. Bottiglieri was Assistant Executive Director of the Berks County Intermediate Unit and served in numerous other leadership capacities within the Tulpehocken Area School District and the Oley Valley School District. Dr. Bottiglieri graduated from East Stroudsburg University with a bachelor’s degree in physical education (sports medicine). He completed his master’s work at Widener University in 2004, and then obtained his Principal certification and his superintendent’s letter of eligibility before finalizing his formal education with a doctorate in educational leadership, also from Widener. A more detailed announcement will be released immediately after his anticipated appointment.
